Haunt is much like the original game. The main difference is that there are more scenarios, a plot that engages you further, and better sound effects. You are not going to experience cryptic notes such as “he’s watching you.” Instead, you will collect notes that are going to send chills down your spine.
Throughout the game, you will be required to collect notes to gain clues so that you know what locations you need to go to in order to find the rest. The sound effects can be chilling and the scenarios are impressive.
If you enjoy the horror genre, this is a game that you can live without. The download size is extensive, but as long as you have plenty of room on your hard drive, it is worth downloading. Depending upon your download speed, it may take a little while to get onto your computer.
As you play Haunt, it is going to take you some time to collect all the objects to get through the game. You won’t see Slenderman, but there is an orb like creature that can pop out at any minute, mash your brain up, and bring the game to an end. It is horrific and you will love every minute of it.
You will know when the orb like creature is coming your way, because the sound effects will change and static will appear.
As you go throughout the house and the various scenarios, you may get lost and this is when things get creepy. Some of the clues may also not make a whole lot of sense or say a whole lot, but it will all make sense in the end.
If you were a fan of Slender, this is going to be a game that you will want to download. It is free, which means you can enjoy all the adventures without spending any money. While it is not a considerable innovation on the original game, there are more scenarios and allow you to get scared and enjoy the horror genre a little bit further.
Whether you sit through the game all at once or you pop in here and there to get scared, the game is going to be a lot of fun. It works with all versions of Windows and is in English.
